J-SCIENCE | Diffusible hydrogen analysis system

This diffusion hydrogen analyzer employs gas chromatography to measure hydrogen diffusion in metals. Samples are sealed, degassed, and then analyzed with precision through gas chromatography. This instrument ensures high accuracy without human error, enabling precise diffusion hydrogen (H) D measurement.

  • Diffusible hydrogen in steel welds can be easily measured by the gas chromatography method with an accuracy of 1/1000 mL or more
  • Hydrogen released from steel welds is called diffusible hydrogen [H]D, and is considered to be the biggest cause of cold cracking in welds
  • This measurement method is also adopted by JIS Z3118, ISO3690 and ANSI/AWS A4.3-93
